Yancy Camp Workout 481

One of my clients recently called me and wanted to talk about the roller coaster ride of life and the tough obstacles they are currently facing. As the Coach is made me feel so dang good that my client reached out during a challenging time for mental coaching when the norm is physical coaching. I found myself thinking about how I need to be better at reaching out to my mentors, friends and family members who I trust to shoot me straight and be open and honest with me. Often times we’re struggling inside while we put on great acting jobs to make people think everything is wonderful. I encourage you to lean on the people in your network who you know will have a meaningful conversation with you. We’ve all had times when we’ve talked around tough situations with friends vs diving in and trying to really serve the person. On the flip side, we’ve all had people do the same with us. I challenge you to reach out to someone the next time you’re struggling and make sure you’re present and in the moment the next time someone reaches out to you. It’s a huge act of service and I want you all to know that you can reach out to me if you ever have anything you need to talk about. You’re on this team and you’re family to me. Throughout my life I’ve done things that I regret and I’m not happy about. There’s not much you could throw my way that I can’t relate to. From going through cancer and wondering if I was going to live much longer to being a piss poor friend and foundation of support to the love of my life early on in our relationship, and soooo many other situations where life was crazy bumpy! I’ve done a lot of living and learning and one of my passions now is serving as many as I possibly can to help them navigate this awesome life journey we’re on. There are many of you who have helped me in various ways along the way and I appreciate you greatly. Much love – Yancy

Workout 481

15% incline x 10min at low end aerobic effort

Phase 2:
15% incline x .25 miles/400m at tempo effort
Seated cable or bent rows x 12
Push-ups x 12
Weighted step-ups x 12 (6 each side – go heavy on the weight)
Repeat the three lifts for one additional round but drop reps down to 6.
This completes 1 round.
Continue repeating for a total of 6 rounds.

Phase 3:
15% incline x 10min w/heavy carry at tempo effort.

Phase 1-3 can be completed outside on the road or trail if you’d like but I want you increasing the distance to .50 miles/800m if doing outside without the incline.

Bonus:
Burpee x 2 to pull-up x 1 (complete pull-up immediately after completing 2nd burpee)
Continue repeating for a total of 50 reps (total reps = 100 burpees & 50 pull-ups.
