Purpose: Long trail endurance.
Moderate overall effort – 7/10 RPE.
Workout:
3hr easy adventure run
*Pack lots of fuel and start conservatively. This is a great time to attempt that longer route you’ve been wanting to try. Pace doesn’t matter much on these runs, take it slow and enjoy the views!
Effort Descriptions:
Shuffle jog/walk – Very Easy Zone 1. Breathing VERY easy and relaxed.
Easy – Zone 2. Breathing calm enough you could maintain normal conversation.
Scaling options:
Beginners/low volume athletes – 60+min adventure run. Just run the longest you have yet this summer!
Yancy OCR Athletes – Run as described.
