Phase 1:
Versa Loop & bodyweight warm-up x 1 round – Warm-up Demo
ABCD warm-up running x 4min – Instructional Demo
If & when possible, I want you doing your running warm-up barefoot
As you know, I love meshing OCR specific strength training in to many of our training sessions and I feel this plays a huge role toward ensuring your training translates out on course. That being said, this week I’m going to give you a little break from the OCR specific strength training and we’ll focusing in on uncompromised running. Much love – Coach Yancy
Phase 2:
44 minute Fartlek
8min run at zone 2 easy effort / 6min run at zone 4 above lactate threshold effort
Continue repeating for 3 additional rounds – dropping times down as listed below:
7min/5min
6min/4min
5min/3min
*Make sure you don’t rest between the zone 2 & 4 transitions/rounds.
If possible, make sure you track your heart rate and distance covered for each zone 2 & zone 4 portions.
