Start w/20min aerobic training zone effort run for warm-up.
Tempo effort run x 5min
Tire or sled drag x 3min at tempo effort
*Alternative to drag is weighted lunges x 3min
This completes 1 round. Continue repeating for a total of 4 rounds
Finish w/15min aerobic training zone effort run for cool down.
2nd phase or bonus:
Finish w/burpee to pull-ups x 50 for time.
*If unable to complete a pull-up, a good modification is burpee to knee lift. After completing the burpee, grab the bar and lift the knees.
Bonus training for April in prep for World’s Toughest Mudder:
I’ve been having April do 15% incline x 45-60min at easy pace 3-4 times each week in addition to all her other training. We’ll add this on to the end of her regular training sessions.
