Why are you so happy every morning? That’s my question for you today. We’re going to stop comparing ourselves to others and we’re going to start going over in our head why we’re so happy today. Today is going to be a great day. I’m going to dominate the day today. My kids have learned that they are never allowed to wake up in a bad mood. Slugging around the house with a piss poor attitude complaining about school, homework, other people, it’s hot, it’s cold, i’m bored, what someone else gets/has, or how someone else is doing something is never allowed. Some of us had parents who may have allowed this. Not in our house. If they go to mom with this attitude, they’ll get the same treatment they get from me. Pull your shit together and it’s time to dominate the day!!! Why are we happy today? The only people who’ll want to listen to people slugging around with negativity are other sluggish and negative people. One of my passions in life is coaching and I strongly feel that mental conditioning is as important as physical conditioning. Right now, there are people in your family, life, and in the sport of OCR who devote a large amount of time critiquing others. Talking down to other people and other ideas. Things that are far from perfect but have had success. Things they don’t believe in so they pound the drum on social media, at the water cooler at work, at home, in the community, etc. Telling the world how so many things around them are ridiculous. This life approach is a choice and they have every right to do this. I choose to be optimistic and positive. This is a choice I make! There are tons of things I don’t agree with but it’s not my mission in life to spend my time hammering on everything I don’t agree with. I 100% consider it my job to pass on positive energy, try and lift you up, and ask you why are you happy today? You have reasons to be happy today. Workout 523
Phase 1:
Versa Loop exercises
*All movement exercises – 30yd (15yd down & back)
*All upper body pull exercises – 20 reps (10 each arm)
*Around the world legs – 5 rounds
*Around the world push-up – 5 rounds
*This completes 1 round.
*Continue repeating for a total of 2 rounds.
Phase 2:
Run x 7min at aerobic effort
Weighted lunge x 70 (35 each leg)
Continue repeating but drop min & reps down to 6/60, 5/50, 4/40, 3/30, 2/20, 1/10.
*If needed for time or fitness reasons, you can easily scale it down by leaving off the first round of 7/70 or additional rounds if needed.
Phase 3:
Run x 6min at aerobic effort
Pull-up x 2 to shoulder taps x 8 to hand position change x 16 to pull-up x 2 to hand until forced to drop
This completes 1 round.
Continue repeating but drop run time down to 5/4/3/2/1min for remaining 5 rounds.
*If needed, you can assist the grip/pull strength sections with a strength band (see video library).
*if possible, tie phase 2 & 3 together with no break in between.
Bonus:
Tire drag or 15% incline x 11min at low end aerobic effort
