Yancy Camp Workout 435
Our children/youth spend a minimum of 18 years living, listening, mimicking repeating, communicating, serving (or not), and watching us. In large part, our children/youth grow up and become a product of the parenting/adult supervision they receive, community/geographical location of their childhood and teenage years, and other influential factors. As parents, teachers, coaches, and leaders, we have a wonderful responsibility to lead our children/youth in a way that will help them build a foundation of love, compassion, service to others, respect for themselves and others, honesty, optimism/positive attitude that will be act as a magnet and people will want to gravitate toward them, loving the team approach, ability to push pride aside, and maintaining a gracious level of confidence in themselves. *A gracious level of confidence in themselves is extremely important because they will be much more likely to lift others up vs tear them down. When we raise/lead our children/youth otherwise we are not helping them shore up a strong foundational platform to live and serve from. What I type below is not debatable!
Every one walking the planet every single day spends the majority of their day on one of three platforms:
Platform A summary – well rounded person that carries him or herself in a way that summarizes the foundation I explained above
Platform B summary – coasting through the day in mediocrity
Platform C summary – pain in the ass and significant time on the opposite of what I explain above
*For the most part, the platform you decide to stand on each day is a daily choice. It doesn’t take a high paying job, a big beautiful house, wealth, status, etc. to make the decision to spend your time on platform A each day. It takes a decision! You’ll fall off A from time to time but you’ll have other people on A who will be willing to help you back up. When you spend your time on B & C, you’ll usually find yourself in a situation where many of your friends spend their time on B & C also and they’ll fall off with you because that’s a foundation that’s weak and unproductive. If you’re struggling, start hanging out with people who love platform A. Follow their lead! Today is a beautiful day! Much love – Yancy
