My mother and father were in town visiting the past 5 days and it was such a wonderful family bonding experience. My mom and dad are imperfect people but I find myself relaxing, smiling, caring, sharing, being more selfless, and loving more when they are in town. All things that make me a better person. My dad for example communicates with everyone he comes in contact with. To the point where some people think he’s a little weird. I paid close attention while we were in Home Depot together (dad/son project – we built a porch swing bed together) and he said hello to numerous people and kicked up various conversations. He brought a smile to many peoples faces during our trip that morning. He’s a genuine loving and caring man who hovers the planet making people happy. My mother is always looking for the next compliment she can give someone – “that sure is a pretty dress”, “you have a beautiful family”, etc. I could give so many examples as to why I get excited when mom and dad come and visit. It’s like getting the opportunity to attend a “how to live a wonderful life” seminar. Even when not around, I lean on them for daily direction to help ensure I live with purpose and stay present when I’m around others. They modeled this when my sister and I were young and on my best day I can’t match their level but it definitely had great influence on me. They are also so happy together. There love for each other motivates my wife and I to stay focused on making sure we put each other first as we navigate our busy lives. Our youth need to see happy and caring marriages being modeled. It can be a game changer as they become more and more independent and move on to their journey once they move out of the house. I encourage you to make sure your kids (future kids) see you and your spouse modeling loving and caring behavior toward each other as well as all others in your lives. Much love – Yancy

Run x 10min at aerobic (zone 3) effort
Pull-ups x 10
Weighted burpees x 10 (sandbell, sandbag, dead ball, or other weighted implement)
Weighted squats x 10
Plyo/clap push-ups x 10
Thrusters x 10
This conmpletes 1 round.
Continue repeating but drop run time and reps down to 9/9, 8/8, 7/7, 6/6, 5/5, 4/4, 3/3, 2/2 for remaining 8 rounds.
*If needed, you can scale this one down dramatically by knocking off 1 or more of the longer duration running rounds or less dramatically by knocking off 1 or more of the shorter duration rounds.
