Yancy Camp Workout 472

Today I challenge you to trust in your abilities. We’re not going to worry about how successful other people are, what they have that we don’t, and how they got to their level. We’re not going to feel sorry for ourselves and we’re going to walk in to every opportunity we have and we’re going to stand tall with our heads up high and we’re going to project with confidence. We’re going to be the type of person people love being around. We’re going to lift people up and the situations we’re engaged in. The difference between success and failure often times comes down to tiny details, opportunities lost due to lack of awareness, and lack of effort. Sam Parker talks about in his book 212 The Extra Degree how at 211 degrees water it is just hot but when it reaches 212 degrees, it has amazing power. Life can be very similar. A little more effort, desire, and passion can give you amazing power! Sam challenges you to ask yourself, do I deliver, do people enjoy working with me, do I make good things happen for other people, do I exceed expectations, and do people enjoy hanging around with me??? Workout 472
Run x 10min at aerobic effort
Weighted step-ups x 20
Push-ups x 20
Plank w/hip circles x 20 (change direction every 5 reps)
One arm dumbbell snatch x 20 (switch hands each rep)
Pull-up x 5 to hand position change x 20
This completes 1 round.
Continue repeating but drop the run down to 9/8/7/6/5min for the remaining 5 rounds and drop the reps down to 18/16/14/12/10 for the remaining 5 rounds.
*This is a big strength training day. There are 480 total reps and 45min of running.
*You can complete this one indoors or outdoors. If indoors, feel free to work some of the run time at incline.
*The body is going to feel fatigued as the workout progresses and this is very real out on course during a race. I want you focusing on trying to find a smooth efficient run effort after the strength portion of each round.
